1,017 Exhibitors from 40 Nations 18th SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN Opened Ceremonially

 

Up to and including Saturday, September 21, worldwide joining, cutting and surfacing technology is demonstrating its innovative force at Messe Essen. On
the occasion of the ceremonial opening of the 18th SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, Dr. Baldev Raj, President of the International Institute of Welding (IIW),
praised the unsurpassed diversity and quality of the products and services presented in 2013. “Nowhere else in the world do exhibitors show as many new developments. Therefore, the leading global fair is so immensely important to the sector - also in relation to the further education of its next generation.”

 

At SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, 1,017 exhibitors from 40 nations are presenting their innovations this year. Around 55,000 visitors from more than 100 countries are expected. The world’s premier fair is characterised not only by this great international charisma but also by the outstanding performances of the exhibitors, emphasised Reinhard Paß, Lord Mayor of the City of Essen: “Whatever the producing industries are expecting as a challenge in the coming years, the leading global fair is already showing solutions today.”
