First DVS-Career Day

Supported by GSI (Gesellschaft für Schweißtechnik International mbH), DVS (German Welding Society) and Messe Essen, DVS Media has yesterday hosted
the first “Career Day” within the framework of the SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN - a get together of experts, young engineers and employers. It is a well known fact that our industry needs an infusion of young talent in order to take today’s success into the future. Yesterday’s DVS-Career day was the kickoff for what is supposed to become an annual event.

DVS Media wants to offer a regular recruiting forum where first contacts between companies and young professionals can be made in an easy atmosphere.

Representatives of ten companies used the first DVS-Career Day to inform about the professional opportunities in their firms. Most of those companies have a wide area of expertise and provide interesting work places in a variety of fields ranging from welding or mechanical engineering to customer services or
marketing.

The representatives were pleased to meet young people with an interest in joining technology at the moment in their professional lives when decisions
about future career steps are made.
